Connell scores lucky goal

Alan Connell, who scored the only goal this afterrnoon, noted that it's was the Bulls first back to back win in League Two.

"We're delighted with the three points," Connell told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"First half we were probably a bit better than in the second half when normally it's the other way around at home."

Connell admitted it looked as though the game was heading for a draw.

"It looked like that. I thought they were a decent side. Craney in midfield is a good player.

"In this League you need a little bit of luck which is what we got. We kept persevering and we got our reward in the end."

"I called for it, didn't catch it how I wanted to, but it went into the back of the net."

The stats for the game show that Hereford had ten goal attempts, seven of which were on target, against Stanley's six.

As regards fouls Hereford had seven but Stanley had eleven.

Both Hereford's Williams and Connell were booked for 'unsporting behaviour'.

Midfielder John Eustace was given an eight. Most other Hereford players received a seven.
