Bulls could receive £69,000 from Premier League

Hereford United and all the other League Two clubs are to receive an average £69,000 a year for three years thanks to a decision from the Premier League to give a part of their Television receipts to other clubs.

The deal called a 'solidarity package' is expected to be worth around £90 million over the next three seasons.

However the amount is still a pittance compared with the £1.7 billion the Premier League receives from their deals with Sky and Setanta.

What each club actually receives depends on their performance. According to the Times 'each Championship club will get an extra £912,000, ranging from £1.38m to £776,000 according to performance. League One clubs will receive an additional £103,000 and in League Two the average is £69,000.'

The money will be in additional that that received by Hereford United from the Football League which is £265,000 per season.

It is understood that some of the money is for youth developmemt. Although the amount isn't made clear, it could be worth £25,000 per year, again for three seasons. Another portion of the money is for 'community programmes'.
