Trewick pre-Bradford

Hereford United manager John Trewick has said that he beleives his squad have been more consistant lately and the results are that much better.

“We have hit a good level of consistency lately and the results have reflected that," Trewick told the Worcester News.

“If we can put in a similar level of performance against Bradford, we will have a decent result.

“I am pleased we have put this run together but it’s the old cliche — we have got to take one game at a time, give them our full attention and, if we do that, we will be OK.

“If we can hit those levels, then nine times out of 10 the result will look after itself.”

Trewick is well-aware that the Valley Parade is a big stadium with an average attendance of 11,426.

“The trouble is the stadium is so big it’s not going to look full.

“They sell a lot of season tickets at discount prices in the summer to get a decent-sized crowd.

“I think the big crowds can only help to be a motivating factor and I am hoping that’s the case with us.”

As regards injuries Craig Jones is still out with a back injury whilst there are slight doubts over Marc Pugh, Darren Jones and Darren Dennehy. However Craig King and Gavin McCullum should have recovered from bad colds.

Trewick also commented on the deal which will see youngster King stay at Edgar Street until the end of the season

“We wanted to do that and spoke to Nigel Pearson, the manager at Leicester.

“Fortunately, he felt it was a good idea for the lad as well and Craig is delighted to be staying.”
