Pitman has Faith in Bartlett

Despite giving away a goal at Accrington last night Hereford United goalkeeper Adam Bartlett retains the confidence of manager Jamie Pitman.

"He made some good saves at the weekend," Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"So take the rough with the smooth, he knows he has done wrong. There's no point me going on about it.

"I've just said to him let's move on.

"Another game comes very quickly, Gillingham, another tough one.

"We need to go there and do better than we did tonight."

Pitman also admitted that once again "Individual errors are costing us."

"You have to give credit to Accrington as they played well but individual errors are costing us," he said.

"Their third goal was a great strike by the lad and you can't do a lot about that but that has killed the game off at 3-0.

"We have to move on and not dwell on this result. We have been under pressure all season and it's no different now. We need to make sure we play better than we have done here, though. I believe I have got a good enough squad."

Finally Pitman explained some of his thinking behind the team selection.

"Fleetwood has hardly missed a minute, looked very tired towards the end of the game last weekend. We've got Waide Fairhurst who is a decent player so we changed the system a little bit.

"Jason went up there to try and get hold of it and give us a little bit more.

"They are all good players. It just hasn't maybe worked against a decent Accrington side."
