Results Round-Up

The Bulls are four points short of safety after today's results. Macclesfield remain a point above (36) after going down 2-0 at Gillingham, but Dagenham beat Port Vale 1-0 - thanks to their keeper saving a penalty - to move up to 19th (41). Plymouth also won 1-0 against Bradford to join the Bantams on 40 points, with Barnet slipping to 22nd after last night's loss. Northampton also had a penalty save to thank in their 1-1 draw with Crewe, moving them to 42 points. Burton's faint relegation worries faded to almost nothing after a goalless draw with Crawley.

At the top, Swindon extended their lead to two points with a goalless draw with Bristol Rovers. Crawley's point was matched by Shrewsbury, who ended up 1-1 with Aldershot after having a man sent off, so they retain third and fourth respectively behind Torquay. Oxford's 2-1 home loss to Morecambe mean they stay five points adrift of fifth placed Southend and level on points with Cheltenham. Crewe's draw cuts their gap in eighth to three points, one ahead of Gillingham. In the other game, Accrington beat Wimbledon 2-1.

In the Conference, Fleetwood are now eight points clear and seemingly destined for the Football League after a 4-1 win at Bath, with Wrexham only managing a 1-1 draw at Cambridge. Kidderminster beat Grimsby 2-1 to dent the Mariners' play-off hopes, while Forest Green beat Barrow 3-0. Darlington's 3-3 draw with Telford provided some hope of them staying up, but they are now eight points short of safety with six games left.
