Preview: Stockport vs Bulls

The Bulls travel to Stockport on Tuesday night seeking revenge on a Conference loss earlier in the season.

The two sides met at Edgar Street in October, the Hatters winning 2-1 with former loanee Phil Marsh scoring for the Bulls. The Bulls won on their last trip to Edgeley Park in 2010, Rob Purdie opening the scoring with a brace in the opening 15 minutes of what turned into a 5-0 win.

Stockport have changed manager since the last meeting, with Jim Gannon being replaced by Darije Kalezic. The Bosnian signed a deal to the end of the season expected to avoid relegation but has not produced tremendous improvements so far, with his two wins, two losses, and a draw matching the Hatters' form in the five matches prior to his arrival. They have failed to score in their last two games, against Ebbsfleet and Tamworth, with 10 goal top scorer Danny Hattersley netting twice since the managerial change.

The Bulls will seek back-to-back league wins for the first time since November, when Luton and Wrexham were dispatched in the week after the FA Cup demolition of Shrewsbury. Ryan Bowman brought back memories of the taming of the Shrews with his cheeky penalty finish against Cambridge at the weekend, with the 16 goal striker returning to form after a couple of quiet performances. Marlon Jackson's performance after coming off the bench means he will push to alter Martin Foyle's plans after naming the same XI for three games running.

Stockport County vs Hereford United, Edgeley Park, Tuesday 26th February, 7.45pm.
